We began the day working in small groups writing poems about our orchard using the different senses. Our word banks and ideas from yesterday really helped us with this.
We later found out what the word ‘circumference’ means. We then worked in groups to measure the circumference of some objects (including some of our heads) in the art studio using a tape measure. We soon got the hang of this so we headed outside to measure the circumference of some trunks of trees around our school grounds. We worked collaboratively during this activity as this would have been quite tricky to do independently.
